Warning: Spoilers Ahead
The crew of the Omega, a UCS cargo freighter, dock at mining station Ypsilon 14 on a routine trade run. They’re greeted by Captain Sonya and come onboard for a bit of coffee whilst one of the station’s loaders Kantaro goes to work taking supplies off their ship. Whilst the human crew of the Omega are relaxing in the mess, a call comes in from the mine that Jerome, one of the miners, has had an accident. Sonya sends Henriksen the android down to see if he can offer any assistance. The rest of the party find out from a resting station crew Morgan that one of their own went missing last night. Mike just disappeared.
The situation escalates pretty quickly from there. At the mine’s entrance Henriksen is attacked by something he cannot see and loses an arm. Back up in the station, Kantaro is found with his face split open in the washroom whilst the party find that Mike was stashing a gun and an empty water spray bottle up in his ceiling. Also there is this yellow goo everywhere.
Henriksen returns up top, the party are set into full panic except for Joe, the marine who remains calm throughout. Even when the station’s pet cat notices something just as Captain Sonya is ripped apart before their eyes.
Hoping for answers they try to board the other ship docked at the station where Dr Giovanni, a researcher who docked a month ago is holed up. However, there is no response from the ship and the party have no way to discern the code required to open his ship. By this time, poor Henriksen is under attack again. As they watch the android being ripped apart, the human crew of the Omega rush back to their ship. They find a disconcerting large amount of yellow goo in the airdock but their minds are somewhat preoccupied by watching Henriksen being swallowed head first into nothingness.
Fleeing the station in the Omega the party are warned by the ship’s computer that there is something in their quarters. As they consider whether to seal themselves into the command pod, an invisible stalker begins to dismember them. Joe tries his best to shoot what he cannot see but all he does is blast holes into the hull and decompress the ship.
The Omega is not heard from again.
